We replaced some old stability room chillers that were not IP rated with new IP rated chillers and built a security cage around them. These stability room chillers are not used to cool the room but are used to control the humidity in the room. There are two chillers for each room with their own water coil in the room. The way the rooms operate is that the return air is fully saturated with water from an ultrasonic humidifier.  The humidified air then passes over the chilled water coil that operates at a temperature according to a psychrometric chart that will give 100% humidity at that temperature.  The air then passes over a heater battery that reheats the air to the required room temperature which will then give you a temperature humidity controlled room at 35C and 75%RH for example.
